1. Summary: Zero Personal Data Collection
WiFi FTP Server is designed as a standalone utility tool that operates strictly on your local device and home/office Wi-Fi network.
- No External Server Uploads: We do NOT collect, harvest, store, or transmit your personal data, contact information, photos, files, or usage analytics to any cloud server or remote database.
- No Third-Party Analytics / Tracking: The app contains no third-party tracking SDKs, advertising frameworks, or behavior profiling tools.
2. Android Permissions & Local Uses
To perform its core function of serving device files over a local FTP socket, the app requires specific Android permissions:
- Storage Access (`MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` / `READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`): Required to read and write files to your device storage based on your selected root directory when an authorized computer connects.
- Wi-Fi & Network State (`ACCESS_WIFI_STATE`, `INTERNET`): Required to detect your local IP address and accept incoming socket connections on your specified FTP port.
- Foreground Service (`FOREGROUND_SERVICE`): Keeps the FTP engine active in the background during active file uploads and downloads so your transfer is not interrupted when the screen turns off.
3. Security & Control Options
You have complete control over your FTP server configuration within the application settings:
- Set a custom username and password for FTP authentication.
- Disable anonymous guest access.
- Configure custom port numbers (Default: 2121).
- Enable Read-Only Mode to prevent connected clients from modifying or deleting files.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Since no user data is collected or stored on remote servers, there is no remote data retention. All file logs displayed inside the app are stored locally in volatile memory and are cleared when the server stops or when the app is closed.
5. Children's Privacy
Our application does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
